It traces Jan C. Smuts’s correspondence with Adler, Koffka and Perls and Allport’s extensive contact with SA psychologists. The positive impact of the academic boycott in turning psychology towards the concerns of the oppressed is delineated, as well as the response of professional organizations to apartheid. The extensive reciprocal visits of US and Dutch phenomenologists are described and the contributions of Wolpe, Rachman and Lazarus to behavior therapy are noted. Pontificia Universidad Javeriananullnull2018-02-24T16:04:59Z2020-04-15T18:28:27Z2018-02-24T16:04:59Z2020-04-15T18:28:27Z2014-08-03http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85Artículo de revistahttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionPDFapplication/pdfhttp://revistas.javeriana.edu.co/index.php/revPsycho/article/view/707910.11144/Javeriana.upsy13-5.hsap2011-27771657-9267http://hdl.handle.net/10554/33135spahttp://revistas.javeriana.edu.co/index.php/revPsycho/article/view/7079/10207Universitas Psychologica; Vol. 13, Núm. 5 (2014): Special History of Psychology; 1983-1991Atribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 4.0 Internacionalinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2reponame:Repositorio Universidad Javerianainstname:Pontificia Universidad Javerianainstacron:Pontificia Universidad Javeriana2023-03-29T19:27:19Z |
