El panorama de beneficios en el marco del tratado de libre comercio entre Colombia y Estados Unidos en el sector de la agro industria ganadera no es alentador, puesto que, aunque tuvo un crecimiento exponencial para 2021 en el porcentaje de exportaciones, este sector económico no ha podido abrirse camino dentro del catálogo de productos que actualmente se exportan a Estados Unidos. Por lo anterior, el presente trabajo de investigación tiene como finalidad ocuparse del estudio del sector económico de la agro industria ganadera al buscar determinar, a partir de un estudio socio jurídico, los motivos que generan la imposibilidad actual de exportar carne bovina y ganado en pie a Estados Unidos. Para lograrlo se estableció como objetivo general determinar los efectos del tratado de libre comercio enre Colombia y Estados Unidos sobre la industria de carne bovina a través de la percepción de miembros de la industria. Para lograr el desarrollo del mismo se establecieron como objetivos específicos lo siguientes: a) Exponer el marco jurídico del tratado de libre comercio entre Colombia y Estados Unidos; b) Exponer los antecedentes históricos del tratado de libre comercio entre Colombia y Estados Unidos; c) Investigar las percepciones y balances de los resultados del tratado de libre comercio; d) Determinar la percepción de miembros de la industria de carne bovina acerca del tratado de libre comercio con Estados Unidos; e) Determinar si la imposibilidad de exportar carne bovina a Estados Unidos responde a factores particulares o si esto sucede en el marco del tratado de libre comercio; y f) Analizar el comportamiento de las exportaciones de carne bovina en el marco de otros acuerdos comerciales. |

Although it showed an exponential growth for 2021 in the percentage of exports, this economic sector has not yet made its way into the catalog of products currently exported to the United States. Therefore, the purpose of this thesis is to study the economic sector of the agro-business by seeking to determine, through a socio-legal study, the reasons for the current impossibility of exporting beef and live cattle to the United States. The general objective is to determine the effects of the free trade agreement on the beef industry through the perception of members of the industry.
