El proyecto plantea un edificio de identificable plasticidad, generador de un entorno paisajístico elaborado y ambicioso, conformándose como un hito urbano representativo para el municipio de Cajicá. Respecto al entorno inmediato, el edificio educativo está ubicado en la falda oriental de la Vereda San Jorge entre las curvas de nivel 2550m y 2600m, respetando y adecuándose a las condiciones topográficas del terreno. La pendiente de 3.2% de sentido NOE - SE marca el inicio del proyecto el cual va adaptándose a la topografía llegando en el punto más alto a la cota 2630, donde presenta abundante vegetación y el Eucalipto predomina. Las circulaciones peatonales y vehiculares que brindan el acceso al Centro de Artes Plásticas y Diseño, han sido diseñadas para la mejor eficacia funcional sin interferencias entre sí (accesos peatonales, servicio de abastecimiento y salidas de materiales, residuos, vehículos privados, etc.) Los recorridos peatonales y su relación con el entorno, proporcionan un carácter de paseo en un ambiente relajado, con el propósito de transitar el edificio en cualquier dirección incluyendo lugares como plazas, cubiertas, jardines, y puentes que se entrelazan y comunican entre sí en la totalidad del proyecto. |

Regarding the immediate environment, the education building is located on the eastern slopes of the village of San Jorge between the contour and 2600m 2550m, respecting and adapting to the topography of the land. The slope of 3.2% NOE effect marks the beginning of the project which will adapt to the topography reaching the highest point at elevation 2630, which has abundant vegetation and eucalyptus predominates. The pedestrian and vehicular circulation to provide access to the Center of Art and Design have been designed for better operational efficiency without interference with each other (pedestrian access, supply service and outgoing materials, waste, transport equipment, etc..)
