El objetivo general de la investigación es explicar de qué manera el deshielo del Ártico representa una amenaza para la comunidad de seguridad nórdica y su identidad común. De esta manera, los países identificados como nórdicos son Noruega, Suecia, Dinamarca, Finlandia e Islandia. Para desarrollar la investigación, como marco teórico se emplean el constructivismo y la Escuela Inglesa como enfoques complementarios para el abordaje de los principales elementos a estudiar. Por otro lado, la metodología está definida por tres herramientas transversales; el rastreo de procesos o process tracing; el análisis de contenido; y la representación histórica. La investigación se realiza en tres capítulos que responden respectivamente a los objetivos específicos: identificar las consecuencias del deshielo del Ártico para la región nórdica; caracterizar la percepción de los países nórdicos acerca de las principales amenazas para su seguridad; y determinar la capacidad de respuesta conjunta de la comunidad de seguridad nórdica en función de su identidad común ante la problemática del deshielo del ártico. Finalmente, se presentan las conclusiones y retos a futuro de acuerdo a los hallazgos a lo largo del ejercicio investigativo. |

This way, the countries identified as Nordic are Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. To develop the research, constructivism and the English School are used as the theoretical framework and complementary approaches to address the main elements to be analyzed. On the other hand, the methodology is defined by three transversal tools; process tracing; content analysis; and historical representation. The research is carried out in three chapters that respectively respond to the specific objectives: to identify the consequences of the melting of the Arctic for the Nordic region; characterizing the perception of the Nordic countries about the main threats to their security; and determining the joint response capacity of the Nordic security community based on their common identity in the face of the Arctic melting problem.
