Después de una aproximación a las acepciones del término “comunión” en América Latina y en algunos documentos del magisterio pontificio, el autor se detiene en una reflexión sintáctica y semántica de los términos “comunidad” y “comunión” y en sus implicaciones pragmáticas. El artículo se sitúa, pues, en una perspectiva de gran actualidad en la Iglesia de nuestro tiempo y en sus implicaciones dentro del mundo de la globalización, en especial, en la Iglesia de América, que fiel a esta herencia de comunión camina hacia su V Conferencia General del EpiscopadoCentered in the New Testament, this paper presents a biblical and theological reflection, in order to give a content to the keyword «communion» and to show its impact on exegesis and theology, on ecclesiology, spirituality and pastoral work, on the life and actions of pastoral agents. After an approach to the different meanings of the term «communion» in Latin America and in some documents of the papal Magisterium, the author directs his attention to a syntactical and semantic reflection on the terms «community» and «communion» and on their pragmatic implications.
