Se resumen losantecedentes de las técnicas y las investigaciones, y se citan entidadesque han aportado al desarrollo tecnológico en Iberoamérica;también presenta sus distintos avances, destacando las directricesque se desarrollarán. Resalta particularidades de la formación distinguiendoaspectos de la educación y la capacitación, y relacionaimportantes centros de formación que contribuyen en dicha tareaen América Latina. Se sintetizan las acciones del cyted y el aportedel Proyecto y Red Iberoamericana Proterra en la divulgación ytransferencia de la tecnología. Se reflexiona sobre la transferenciade tecnología y, con fundamento en la experiencia de las autorasy del trabajo de Proterra, enfatiza las características del “transferidor”o del equipo de transferencia. Por último, presenta un breveperfil del tipo de persona o equipo que realiza este trabajo.This article pertains to the historical aspects of research, education,training, and technology transfer of the architecture and earthconstruction. The first part of this article presents a summary of thebackground of the construction techniques, the research involvingthis subject, as well as some of the entities that have collaboratedwith the technological development in Ibero-America; it also presentsthe technological progress throughout time, focusing on itsguidelines. The second part of this article displays peculiaritiesof the educational system, differentiating formal education andtraining, and correlates important educational centers that havecontributed for the education of professionals in Latin America. Thisarticle also presents a summary of the work performed by Cyted, aswell as the contribution by the Project and by the Ibero-american networkProterra in the technology transfer.
