El artículo muestra cómo la cultura africana encuentra, en el cuerpo, un escenario discursivo, simbólico y ritual donde los principios metafísicos de cuerpo y alma se fusionan. Así, el escenario corporal representa la trascendencia, junto a una red ampliamente articulada, que involucra una permanente comunicación con los dioses y el espíritu colectivo.This text explores religious thought and the anthropological, symbolic, spiritual and ritualistic perspectives regarding the body in Sub-Sahara Africa. The paper shows how African culture finds, in the body, a discursive, symbolic and ritualistic setting where the metaphysical principles of body and soul merge together.
