El aspecto más relevante, y el más polémico, en el estudio de dicha norma es su ámbito de aplicación. The Regulation 1347/2000 supposed the first procedural community regulation as for demands of judicial separation, divorce and nullity of the marriage. The increasing number of mixed marriages, and the consistent increase of international separations, has fomented the intrinsic importance of the Regulation.
