Description
Summary:The development and deployment of interactive applications is an important aspect of the adoption of digital television in Colombia. It opens up possibilities not just for entertainment and commercial purposes, but also for education, political participation, cultural inclusion and other aspects of well-being. For decades, broadcast television has been the primary source of information and entertainment for most people in Colombia. According to a recent quality of life survey, 91 per cent of Colombian homes possess one or more colour television devices. Television can reach remote areas, some of them important in terms of bio-diversity where the inhabitants tend to be unaware of the need to preserve valuable ecosystems.
