Primero, que los comportamientos humanos en una comunidad se relacionan con valoraciones, juicios éticos y afectos que pueden ser comprendidos de mejor manera si tejemos una relación entre la ética y las teorías e investigaciones en el campo social. Segundo, que es necesario fomentar un debate profundo sobre la manera en que las teorías sociales intervienen en las valoraciones, juicios éticos y afectos que dan forma a una comunidad. Sobre cómo las aproximan, las narran y moldean. Sobre cómo hacerlo. Y tercero, que en perjuicio de lo anterior las reflexiones sobre la investigación en el campo social se han visto limitadas por el estudio de principios y normatividades del quehacer del investigador social, muchas veces asociadas tan solo a la necesidad de promover determinados códigos de ética.
