However, the objective of this document is to reflect on actions, strategies and discussions raised around comparative education in Latin America and Colombia in recent history. In the same way, make visible the theoretical production on comparative education, in addition to understanding what happens with the discipline from the reflections that have been made about it historically, and what happens today with the educational systems in Colombia. A main conclusion, and supported by Acosta, Felicitas, & Ruiz, Guillermo, is that the current challenges of Comparative Education allow us to appreciate what the terms of the discussion are today, so it is essential to make discussions thinking about the real scenarios of each social context.La Educación Comparada en América Latina y Colombia, observada desde su recorrido histórico, y acompañada de diferentes posturas, permite hacer una reflexión sobre esas experiencias educativas que han pasado por el país, asimismo, sobre cómo llega esta Educación al continente y el impacto que esta tiene para la región y la nación. No obstante, el objetivo de este documento es reflexionar sobre acciones, estrategias y discusiones planteadas alrededor de la educación comparada en América Latina y Colombia en la historia reciente. De igual manera, visibilizar la producción teórica sobre la educación comparada, además de comprender lo que pasa con la disciplina a partir de las reflexiones que históricamente se han hecho sobre ella, y lo que hoy en día pasa con los sistemas educativos en Colombia.
