Summary:Biomedical technology increases efficiency when solving human health problems, improving the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. However, its use can generate potential risks to users and incidents or adverse events. For this reason, the institutions that provide health services must have a technology management and control system, in which biomedical equipment is periodically inspected, verifying its correct physical condition and operation. For this purpose, preventive maintenance and calibrations are carried out, which seek to prevent possible failures and ensure measurement accuracy, respectively. These two processes are planned and executed by the biomedical personnel of the health-providing institutions. However, if it is a question of large entities that have a very large number of medical equipment, the planning of technology management can be complex and require a high time of dedication, which can lead to rescheduling or absences of such processes. For this reason, the present project aims to develop a digital tool that facilitates the planning processes of calibrations and preventive maintenance, as well as the search for the dates already established for them.
