La evaluación de daño en edificaciones luego de soportar las fuerzas debidas a un evento sísmico, resulta ser un tema de gran importancia pues ante tal emergencia es necesario definir rápidamente la habitabilidad de las edificaciones para poder garantizar la seguridad de las personas y definir cuál es su estado y comportamiento estructural actual. Se han realizado muchos estudios que han permitido desarrollar diferentes métodos para la inspección de daño post-sismo, dentro de los cuales encontramos procedimientos cuantitativos que se basan en realizar una inspección visual por parte de personal capacitado y bajo unos formatos previamente establecidos se califica la estructura. También métodos cuantitativos; en los cuales se desarrolla un procedimiento basado generalmente en modelos no lineales que involucran las propiedades de los materiales luego de realizar ensayos en campo. Otro método de inspección es el desarrollado mediante el uso de fotografías satelitales de alta definición y sistemas de información geográfica que proporcionan información rápida de zonas de edificios colapsados."--Extracto del texto |
