La ingeniería hidráulica y medioambiental, proporcionan a la ingeniería capacidad y herramientas que permiten analizar, planificar, diseñar, evaluar y en general participar en proyectos de aprovechamiento de los recursos hidráulicos, garantizando la conservación del medio ambiente, aportando a la nación colombiana en la ordenación y utilización sostenible de los recursos naturales, con inclusión de la tierra, el agua, el aire, el clima y los recursos genéticos, en beneficio de las generaciones actuales y futuras. Igualmente, el análisis y modelación hidrológica e hidráulica de cuerpos de agua superficiales, permiten, a través de la información física existente y los datos históricos hidrológicos, conocer su comportamiento para diferentes periodos de retorno, permitiendo la planificación y el desarrollo del manejo de los recursos hidráulicos. En el presente documento se realiza la caracterización del municipio de Puerto Boyacá y del Canal El Progreso y sus cuencas afluentes, seguido del análisis y modelación hidrológica e hidráulica del canal, para posteriormente realizar el planteamiento y evaluación de alternativas para mitigar el área de inundación y la afectación sobre la población. Finalmente se presenta el diseño y modelación de la propuesta seleccionada para la mitigación del área de inundación y su afectación sobre la población del municipio de Puerto Boyacá. |
