Summary: | Fluorescent lifetime imaging (FLIM) has become increasingly important in biological and medical research as a complement to traditional fluorescence intensity and spectrum measurements. FILM has become a valuable tool for localizing diseased tissues and investigating their status because the method does not depend on changes in local fluorophore concentration but is sensitive to the physiological environment. This document is created to keep record of the contributions made during an internship in a project to develop a prototype capable of fluorescent lifetime imaging at the Institute for Microelectronic and Mechatronic Systems GmbH (IMMS GmbH). |
