Six water flow models were carried out that allowed relate the atmospheric variability and predict the humidity changes and potential of soil suction through the results of a numerical model. The results of the numerical modeling were compared with the humidity measured with electronic sensors that are part of a project developed at the Colombian School of Engineering. The numerical results obtained were compared with the experimental data through the calculation of statistical errors resulting in a good estimation of the results measured with the simulated ones. |

The numerical results obtained were compared with the experimental data through the calculation of statistical errors resulting in a good estimation of the results measured with the simulated ones.En este trabajo de grado se estudiaron los cambios producidos en el contenido de agua volumétrico del suelo de la sabana de Bogotá para cuatro profundidades en función del tiempo, dichos cambios fueron generados a partir de la interacción entre la atmósfera y el suelo debido al cambio de las variables atmosféricas. Se realizaron seis modelos de flujo de agua que permitieron relacionar la variabilidad atmosférica y predecir los cambios de humedad y potencial de succión del suelo a través de los resultados de un modelo numérico. Los resultados de la modelación numérica fueron comparados con las humedades medidas con sensores electrónicos que son parte de un proyecto desarrollado en la Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería.
