Summary:Considering the latest dispositions on the city's peak and plate measure, the regulations, laws, news, articles and books were reviewed to identify what has been the effect on the forced mobility trips to and from the Colombian School of Engineering Julio Garavito. Therefore, in this work we seek to analyze whether the new scheme of the "pico y placa" is a benefit or a detriment for the community of the Colombian School of Engineering Julio Garavito, evaluating the different factors that were taken into account for the implementation of this scheme. Thus, the objective of this work is to learn more about the evolution of the measure and apply a survey to make a comparison between the previous and the new peak and plate regime, to answer the question: Which scheme is more favorable for the community? For this purpose, a statistical analysis was made of the answers obtained from a survey of revealed preferences. This survey does not only seek to determine whether the "pico y placa" is a benefit or a detriment, but also to identify the preferences regarding the mode of transportation of the community. The responses obtained show that in general the public transportation system TransMilenio and SITP are used, in the group that uses private transportation they believe that the current measure is more harmful to them, they prefer the previous measure because they consider that during the day at certain times they could use the vehicle and did not require a payment.
