Summary: | In a world where the speed of expansion and innovation of information technologies has managed to turn these into a relevant factor for economic growth and development, the generation of employment and in turn in substantial increases in productivity; This document focuses on determining how ICTs influence poverty in our country, both for relative poverty and for subjective poverty, understood as the answer to the direct question of whether it is considered poor or not. It is fundamental to analyze these two poverty measures independently, given that relative poverty (the methodology most used in Colombia) ignores that the person lives in society, therefore, the judgment itself regarding their material condition of life does not only depend of a single factor (income), given that there are different valuations of the goods and services that are possessed, which are a function of the perception and desire of the individual (condition and feeling); Likewise, a gender distinction is made in the impact of poverty in order to clarify whether the problem of the femininity of poverty still persists in our country. This determination of poverty allows targeting the population and the aspects that really determine poverty both subjective and relative and serves as a guide for anti-poverty policies or digital inclusion policies focused on eliminating both technological and class disparities. |
