Las orientaciones en la búsqueda de la ‘verdad’ o la mejor falsación posible ya no pasan únicamente por los escrutinios de los evaluadores o colegas de campo y sus formas asociativas, sino también y con mayor peso por los instrumentos métricos que miden el volumen de producción, citaciones y colaboraciones. Así pues, la validación queda supeditada en parte importante a la generación de conteos que se abstraen en índices que supuestamente dan cuenta del impacto de un trabajo investigativo.

The guidelines in the search for the 'truth' or the best possible falsification no longer pass only through the scrutiny of the evaluators or colleagues in the field and their associative forms, but also and with greater weight through the metric instruments that measure the volume of production , citations and collaborations.
