Description
Summary:This paper presents the results of a research project carried out as part of the line on strategy of the Research Group on Corporate lasting (Grupo de investigación en Perdurabilidad empresarial - GiPe), at the Universidad del Rosario’s school of management (Bogotá, Colombia). the objective of the project was to understand the sensemaking of management researchers about their own field of knowledge. a qualitative approach was used for this purpose, which identified and then gathered and analyzed (using qualitative content analysis, thematic coding and atlas.ti v. 6.2 software) the publications of the researchers in Colombia’s principal academic resources on management. the results of the analysis show that the researchers in this field of knowledge coincide in three areas of interest: 1) academic programs and education, 2) scientific production and research, and 3) business schools management. it was also possible to identify, in this context, the rudiments of a process of disciplinary development, similar to that one that occurred some decades ago in the United states and Europe. © 2014 Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
