?-galactosidase activity as a marker of senescence in primary cultures of the ovarian surface epithelium

Such activity was quantified at pH 6 in ovarian epithelial cells from 28 donors without a history of cancer, by the chemoluminiscent method. The cells were serially cultured until they achieved the state of permanent growth arrest. During the exponential growth phase, all cultures showed a similar pattern of growth and low ?-galactosidase activity. However, both in the onset of decrease replicative activity, as well as in the onset of the stationary phase, there was a significant rise in the enzyme activity. Our results showed that ?-galactosidase activity can be considered as a replicative senescence marker of the ovarian surface epithelium at pH 6.application/pdf5355133https://repository.urosario.edu.co/handle/10336/22187spa367No. 3351Investigacion ClinicaVol. 51Investigacion Clinica, ISSN:5355133, Vol.51, No.3 (2010); pp. 351-367https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-78650437743&partnerID=40&md5=f83177e886dd4b79fb81810d8481812dAbierto (Texto Completo)http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2instname:Universidad del Rosarioreponame:Repositorio Institucional EdocURBeta galactosidaseArticleCell cultureEnzyme activityEpithelium cellFemaleHumanHuman cellIn vitro studyOvary cellSenescenceAdolescentAdultBeta-galactosidaseCell agingEpithelial cellsFemaleHumansMiddle agedOvaryYoung adult?-galactosidaseBiomarkerOvarian epithelial cellsReplicative senescenceculturedCells?-galactosidase activity as a marker of senescence in primary cultures of the ovarian surface epitheliumActividad de la ?-galactosidasa como marcador de senescencia en cultivos primarios del epitelio superficial del ovarioarticleArtículohttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501Chuaire-Noack L.Rondón-Lagos S.Sánchez-Corredor M.Ibáñez Pinilla, MilcíadesRamírez Clavijo, Sandra RocíoORIGINAL28809-44188-1-PB.pdfapplication/pdf264650https://repository.urosario.edu.co/bitstreams/2e496048-9f97-43b5-9190-52b2862d9a20/download5749b751edd1203040b1e5757319afd5MD51TEXT28809-44188-1-PB.pdf.txt28809-44188-1-PB.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain53527https://repository.urosario.edu.co/bitstreams/69c0075f-7380-4be7-b80f-86ad54d9be9c/downloadea780c5442d18bc8bbc58be93d91174fMD52THUMBNAIL28809-44188-1-PB.pdf.jpg28809-44188-1-PB.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg3910https://repository.urosario.edu.co/bitstreams/6e9b660c-cb61-49cb-9fe6-64ae0833bdfe/downloadbed81a9011560421b5526476424a717eMD5310336/22187oai:repository.urosario.edu.co:10336/221872022-05-02 07:37:16.619644https://repository.urosario.edu.coRepositorio institucional EdocURedocur@urosario.edu.co
