Males had an increased prevalence of renal disease, vascular thrombosis, and the presence of anti-dsDNA antibodies, as well as the use of moderate to high doses of corticosteroids, compared with female SLE patients. Although there was no difference in mortality from all causes, SLE-related mortality was higher in the male group. All these findings are consistent with a more severe disease in Latin American males than in female patients from the same region.application/pdfhttps://doi.org/10.1097/00005792-199605000-00002ISSN: 0025-7974EISSN: 1536-5964https://repository.urosario.edu.co/handle/10336/27011engWilliams & WilkinsWolters Kluwer Health130No. 3124Medicine (Baltimore)Vol. 75Medicine (Baltimore), ISSN: 0025-7974;EISSN: 1536-5964, Vol.75, No.3 (May 1996); pp. 124-130https://journals.lww.com/md-journal/Citation/1996/05000/Systemic_Lupus_Erythematosus_in_Males_A_Study_of.2.aspxAbierto (Texto Completo)http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Medicine (Baltimore)instname:Universidad del Rosarioreponame:Repositorio Institucional EdocURAdolescentAdultCause of DeathLupus Erythematosus systemic complicationsSystemic lupus erythematosus in males: a study of 107 Latin American patientsLupus eritematoso sistémico en varones: un estudio de 107 pacientes latinoamericanosarticleArtículohttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501Molina, J FDrenkard, CMolina, JCardiel, M HUribe, OGomez, L JFelipe, ORamirez, L AAlarcon-Segovia, DAnaya, Juan-ManuelORIGINALSystemic_Lupus_Erythematosus_in_Males_A_Study_of-2.pdfapplication/pdf6412387https://repository.urosario.edu.co/bitstreams/660cdf42-16fd-47c7-a4cc-35c2e10c92e5/downloadf8f56793aecb77bb924602a7743d875eMD51TEXTSystemic_Lupus_Erythematosus_in_Males_A_Study_of-2.pdf.txtSystemic_Lupus_Erythematosus_in_Males_A_Study_of-2.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain526https://repository.urosario.edu.co/bitstreams/907f7d0e-9051-4f54-86ec-5e7e0006df61/download3f813474300197ca026bb5b2f779da0aMD52THUMBNAILSystemic_Lupus_Erythematosus_in_Males_A_Study_of-2.pdf.jpgSystemic_Lupus_Erythematosus_in_Males_A_Study_of-2.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg4732https://repository.urosario.edu.co/bitstreams/2572710b-5d5b-4ad0-9b87-5748a47c05c5/downloadb6e1dd919260370c8e41e6ccbf8f1d23MD5310336/27011oai:repository.urosario.edu.co:10336/270112021-06-03 00:50:04.237https://repository.urosario.edu.coRepositorio institucional EdocURedocur@urosario.edu.co
