Government efforts to comply with proposed strategies for public policy for aging and old age in Bogotá, Colombia, which has as its primary purpose 'to promote active aging and transforming conditions of dependency of older people to an old age with dignity in Capital District', has presented difficulties in access programs. Objective. To identify the conditions of access that older adults with chronic non-communicable diseases to health promotion and prevention programs, in a public network Hospital in Bogota. Materials and methods. A mixed study, cross-sectional descriptive. Population: seniors with chronic conditions recorded in the information system of a public network hospital. Sample: it had a universe of 3356 older people with chronic conditions and a population of 155 to a representative sample, with a confidence interval of 95% and error of 0.05. Results. We showed difficulties in the process of tracking users, the link between services and the establishment of protocols in the institution, also it were found problems in recruiting staff for flexible working, and geographic and economic difficulties in the population. Conclusion.
