Methods: The methodological approach of this study was quantitative, with a cross-sectional design. Respondents completed the questionnaire with a period of 5 to 8 days between measurements. The psychometric properties of reproducibility, internal consistency and level of agreement of the questionnaire were determined using the intraclass correlation coefficient, Cronbach's alpha coefficient and Bland-Altman graphical analysis, respectively. Results: Sixty-two older adults with osteoarthritis of the knee and hip aged between 57 and 82 responded to the questionnaire. Almost perfect reproducibility (CCI = .89) was found for the domain of physical activity, and substantial reproducibility (CCI = .62-.77) for the domains of pain, mental health and activities. A very satisfactory internal consistency was also obtained for the domains of mental health and physical activity (alpha = .90-.94), while that for pain was adequate (alpha = .89). As soon as the level of agreement was established, the mean of the differences in the domains of physical activity, main and mental health was –7.0, –8.0 and –6.9 points, respectively. Discussion and conclusions: The Osteoarthritis Knee and Hip Quality of Life questionnaire showed good psychometric properties principally in the domains of physical activity, pain and mental health. This questionnaire can be used in the clinical setting, but requires adjustment to be used in research. © 2019 Elsevier España, S.L.U. and Sociedad Española de Reumatología y Colegio Mexicano de Reumatologíaapplication/pdfhttps://doi.org/10.1016/j.reuma.2019.08.0051699258Xhttps://repository.urosario.edu.co/handle/10336/22945engEdiciones Doyma, S.L.Reumatologia ClinicaReumatologia Clinica, ISSN:1699258X,(2019)https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85075508746&doi=10.1016%2fj.reuma.2019.08.005&partnerID=40&md5=9fde02ed397bf10cbff8a16a3bcb417aAbierto (Texto Completo)http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2instname:Universidad del Rosarioreponame:Repositorio Institucional EdocUROlder adultOsteoarthritisQuality of lifeQuestionnaireReliabilityReliability of a Specific Questionnaire to Evaluate Quality of Life in People With OsteoarthritisConfiabilidad de un cuestionario específico para evaluar calidad de vida en personas con osteoartritisarticleArtículohttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501Salas-Vargas S.-C.Rodríguez Grande, Eliana Isabel10336/22945oai:repository.urosario.edu.co:10336/229452022-05-02 07:37:17.198803https://repository.urosario.edu.coRepositorio institucional EdocURedocur@urosario.edu.co |
