I will present a specific case of resistance to the conditions of subordination : a conflict between Harry Combo, a resident of one of the Board's missions and the manager in charge of that mission, J. B. Stratton. This example is a good illustration of the kind of interactions that were taking place between various white authorities (managers, Welfare Officers, Sydney bureaucrats) and the Aboriginal people living in the governmental missions. I would like to show that, by focussing on a singular (or atypical) case, one can shed new light on everyday practices of colonial domination.application/pdf4394216https://repository.urosario.edu.co/handle/10336/24213eng66No. 19239HommeHomme, ISSN:4394216,No.192 (2009); pp. 39-66https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-71049132278&partnerID=40&md5=937c609d8fe401f46d75fb247e2b647eAbierto (Texto Completo)http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2instname:Universidad del Rosarioreponame:Repositorio Institucional EdocURAboriginesAustraliaColonial administrationEthnography of archivesMicrohistoryResistanceHarry's horses: Resistances to colonial authoritiesLes chevaux de harry: Résistances aborigènes à l'autorité colonialearticleArtículohttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501Bosa, Bastien Andre10336/24213oai:repository.urosario.edu.co:10336/242132022-05-02 07:37:16.194447https://repository.urosario.edu.coRepositorio institucional EdocURedocur@urosario.edu.co
