The study reported here surveyed and assessed Extension agents from two demographically different regions in Florida on perceptions and attitudes about the need, quality, and dissemination of Spanish Extension materials. Results showed Extension programs are important sources of information for Spanish-speakers from a region with a high population of Hispanics. However, Extension agents do not feel adequately prepared to reach this audience, and resources are insufficient, especially on critical environmental topics relevant to the audience. The study demonstrates the need to develop regionally and culturally relevant Spanish Extension materials for urban Spanish-speakers.application/pdfISSN: 1077-5315https://repository.urosario.edu.co/handle/10336/27028engExtension Journal Inc10No. 21Journal of ExtensionVol. 49Journal of Extension, ISSN: 1077-5315, Vol.49, No.2 (April, 2011); pp. 1-10https://www.joe.org/joe/2011april/a3.phpAbierto (Texto Completo)http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Journal of Extensioninstname:Universidad del Rosarioreponame:Repositorio Institucional EdocURHispanicEnvironmentSpanish-speakersExtensionNatural resourcesAnalyzing the natural resource extension needs of Spanish-speakers: A perspective from FloridaAnalizando las necesidades de extensión de recursos naturales de los hispanohablantes: una perspectiva desde FloridaarticleArtículohttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501Wyman, MiriamEscobedo, FranciscoVarela, SebastianAsuaje, CesarMayer, HenrySwisher, MickieHermansen-Báez, Annie10336/27028oai:repository.urosario.edu.co:10336/270282021-06-03 00:50:04.502https://repository.urosario.edu.coRepositorio institucional EdocURedocur@urosario.edu.co
