Eight clinical studies were included. Supportive care and symptomatic treatment through hydration and aggressive fluid management, if hypotension develops in the course of disease, are the most important aids to improve survival. Treatment with corticosteroids such as methylprednisolone, hydrocortisone, carbazochorome sodium sulfonate (AC-17) and recombinant activated factor VII did not reduce mortality in children with hemorrhagic dengue. At present, no vaccine or effective antiviral treatment is available for the prevention or treatment of hemorrhagic dengue. © 2007 1999, Editorial Ciencias Médicas.application/pdf0375076015613054https://repository.urosario.edu.co/handle/10336/23087spaEditorial Ciencias MedicasNo. 3Revista Cubana de Medicina TropicalVol. 58Revista Cubana de Medicina Tropical, ISSN:03750760, 15613054, Vol.58, No.3 (2006)https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-34248551681&partnerID=40&md5=da50274978774bc867c4b0d0759f6f07Abierto (Texto Completo)http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2instname:Universidad del Rosarioreponame:Repositorio Institucional EdocURAdrenochromeAntipyretic agentBlood clotting factor 7aCarbazochromeCorticosteroidDrug derivativeHemostatic agentIsotonic solutionRecombinant fviiaRecombinant proteinBleedingChildClinical trial (topic)ColloidColombiaCrystalloidDengueDisease managementDouble blind procedureDrug combinationFluid therapyHumanMultimodality cancer therapyOxygen therapyRandomized controlled trial (topic)Respiratory failureReviewShockStatisticsAdrenal cortex hormonesAdrenochromeAntipyreticsChildClinical trials as topicColloidsColombiaCombined modality therapyDengue hemorrhagic feverDisease managementDouble-blind methodFactor viiaFluid therapyHemorrhageHemostaticsHumansIsotonic solutionsOxygen inhalation therapyRandomized controlled trials as topicRecombinant proteinsRespiratory insufficiencyShockBody fluidsDengue hemorrhagic feverDengue shock syndromeTreatmentcombinationDrug therapyTreatment of hemorrhagic dengue in the pediatric population: A systematic reviewTratamiento del dengue hemorrágico en la población pediátrica: Una revisión sistemáticaarticleArtículohttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501Gutiérrez-Álvarez Á.M.Silva N.M.Bazurto M.C.V.Osorio S.M.10336/23087oai:repository.urosario.edu.co:10336/230872022-05-02 07:37:18.644785https://repository.urosario.edu.coRepositorio institucional EdocURedocur@urosario.edu.co
