description Para el año 2022 la enfermedad coronaria (EC) fue la principal causa de mortalidad en el país representando el 31,8% de las muertes totales, seguido por fallecimientos por infección por SARSCOV2. Se ha evidenciado un aumento progresivo de la prevalencia de esta enfermedad en la población menor de 50 años, con complicaciones a corto y mediano plazo como lo son la recurrencia en su presentación, aumentando el número de años de vida perdidos ya sea por muerte prematura o por discapacidad. El objetivo del estudio fue realizar una revisión de alcance con la información disponible publicada en diferentes bases de datos médicas acerca de las características clínicas y demográficas, factores de riesgo y posibles tratamientos relacionados con la recurrencia de la enfermedad coronaria en el adulto joven. Metodología: Se realizó una búsqueda sistemática en las bases de datos científicas Embase, Google Scholar, Pubmed, Scopus, Web of science, ScienceDirect, ProQuest y Lilacs publicados desde su existencia hasta diciembre del 2023 incluyéndose todos los estudios acerca de recurrencia de enfermedad coronaria en adulto joven y factores asociados. Resultados: Se encontraron en total 10 artículos acerca de reinfarto en el adulto menor de 50 años donde exponen factores de riesgo como sexo masculino, persistencia de consumo de tabaco, obesidad y diabetes mellitus de novo o mal controlada al igual que la no inserción de stent con la angioplastia en el primer evento. Conclusiones: Los estudios tienden a centrarse más en la población masculina en relación con la recurrencia de enfermedad coronaria, lo que puede sugerir una necesidad de investigaciones adicionales que aborden la salud cardiovascular en mujeres.

Se ha evidenciado un aumento progresivo de la prevalencia de esta enfermedad en la población menor de 50 años, con complicaciones a corto y mediano plazo como lo son la recurrencia en su presentación, aumentando el número de años de vida perdidos ya sea por muerte prematura o por discapacidad. El objetivo del estudio fue realizar una revisión de alcance con la información disponible publicada en diferentes bases de datos médicas acerca de las características clínicas y demográficas, factores de riesgo y posibles tratamientos relacionados con la recurrencia de la enfermedad coronaria en el adulto joven. Metodología: Se realizó una búsqueda sistemática en las bases de datos científicas Embase, Google Scholar, Pubmed, Scopus, Web of science, ScienceDirect, ProQuest y Lilacs publicados desde su existencia hasta diciembre del 2023 incluyéndose todos los estudios acerca de recurrencia de enfermedad coronaria en adulto joven y factores asociados. Resultados: Se encontraron en total 10 artículos acerca de reinfarto en el adulto menor de 50 años donde exponen factores de riesgo como sexo masculino, persistencia de consumo de tabaco, obesidad y diabetes mellitus de novo o mal controlada al igual que la no inserción de stent con la angioplastia en el primer evento. Conclusiones: Los estudios tienden a centrarse más en la población masculina en relación con la recurrencia de enfermedad coronaria, lo que puede sugerir una necesidad de investigaciones adicionales que aborden la salud cardiovascular en mujeres.By the year 2022, coronary artery disease (CAD) was the leading cause of mortality in the country, accounting for 31.8% of total deaths, followed by fatalities due to SARSCOV2 infection.
