The frequency of clinical manifestations in 65 patients with definite MS from Antioquia was compared with those reported from temperate regions. The most common manifestations were optic neuritis and motor symptoms with absence of cerebellar symptoms. This presentation is significantly different from the frequency distribution at onset in series from temperate regions. These differences suggest that environmental factors could modify the clinical expression of MS in this population.application/pdfhttps://doi.org/10.1177/135245850100700403ISSN: 1352-4585EISSN: 1477-0970https://repository.urosario.edu.co/handle/10336/27376engSAGE Publications229No. 4227Multiple Sclerosis JournalVol. 7Multiple Sclerosis Journal, ISSN: 1352-4585;EISSN: 1477-0970, Vol.7, No.4 (2001); pp. 227-229https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/135245850100700403Restringido (Acceso a grupos específicos)http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_16ecMultiple Sclerosis Journalinstname:Universidad del Rosarioreponame:Repositorio Institucional EdocURMultiple sclerosisTropical neurologyMRIMyelopathyOptic neuritisPrevalence-ColombiaClinical features of multiple sclerosis in a genetically homogeneous tropical populationCaracterísticas clínicas de la esclerosis múltiple en una población tropical genéticamente homogéneaarticleArtículohttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501Sánchez, J LPalacio, L GUribe, C SLondoño, A CVilla, AJiménez, MJiménez, ICamargo, MArcos-Burgos, MAnaya, Juan-Manuel10336/27376oai:repository.urosario.edu.co:10336/273762021-06-03 00:50:11.814https://repository.urosario.edu.coRepositorio institucional EdocURedocur@urosario.edu.co
