description El siguiente estudio tiene como objetivo analizar el papel que las empresas surcoreanas conocidas como “chaebols” tuvieron en la implementación de una política de acercamiento, por parte de Corea del Sur hacia Corea del Norte, denominada “The Sunshine Policy”. Para esto se analizarán las actividades que desempeñaron estos conglomerados empresariales dentro del marco de esta política, actividades que no solo se restringen al ámbito económico sino también al espacio político y personal. La hipótesis planteada se enfoca en que “The Sunshine policy” está estructurada en tres ejes centrales dentro de los cuales la acción de los chaebols fue una parte fundamental para implementar dichos ejes centrales. Este estudio se realizará a través del análisis de textos que estudien la política, su eficacia y consecuencias, además del papel que diferentes actores tuvieron dentro de la implementación de esta. Además se utilizarán estudios que se hayan realizado sobre el modelo de chaebols surcoreanos, su influencia dentro de la política del país y eventos que tuvieron lugar dentro de la política de acercamiento hacia Corea del Norte.

In order to accomplish this objective, the activities that the South Korean enterprises developed within the policy framework will be analyzed, activities that not only are set in the economic field but also in the political and personal field. The hypothesis focuses on the fact that The Sunshine Policy was structured in three principal axes among which the action of the chaebols was a fundamental part for the implementation of these axes. This study will be conducted through the analysis of texts that investigate The Sunshine Policy, including the role that different actors played in the implementation of the policy, as well as its effectiveness and consequences.
