It centers its analysis on the narratives and experiences of a group of indigenous Uitoto women whose ancestors were enslaved under the rubber regime of the Casa Arana, seeking to identify their strategies for redeeming memory in a positive manner that fosters resilience instead of trauma. The following questions are addressed: How can individual and collective memories of suffering be reconstructed within a narrative that emphasizes agency, care, resistance and solidarity? How can we work with the traces of traumatic memories in a way that avoids re-victimization or ‘violation’?. © 2017 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor and Francis Group.application/pdfhttps://doi.org/10.1080/17442222.2017.13633521744222217442230https://repository.urosario.edu.co/handle/10336/22506engRoutledge330No. 3315Latin American and Caribbean Ethnic StudiesVol. 12Latin American and Caribbean Ethnic Studies, ISSN:17442222, 17442230, Vol.12, No.3 (2017); pp. 315-330https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85029612216&doi=10.1080%2f17442222.2017.1363352&partnerID=40&md5=98b116ec1b55975b4ed751e6831e0e95Abierto (Texto Completo)http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2instname:Universidad del Rosarioreponame:Repositorio Institucional EdocURAmazonColombiaIndigenous womenMemoryResilienceMemory and resilience among Uitoto women: closed baskets and gentle words to invoke the pain of the Colombian AmazonarticleArtículohttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501Santamaria Chavarro, Ángela del Pilar10336/22506oai:repository.urosario.edu.co:10336/225062022-05-02 07:37:17.330473https://repository.urosario.edu.coRepositorio institucional EdocURedocur@urosario.edu.co
