Nevertheless, the application of traditional forms of criminal liability leads to the conclusion that they are mere accessories to such crimes. This does not reflect their central role and often results in a punishment which is inappropriately low in view of the impact of their actions and omissions. For these reasons, international criminal law has placed special emphasis on the development of concepts, such as control of the crime and joint criminal enterprise (also known as the common purpose doctrine), which aim at reflecting better the central role played by senior political and military leaders in campaigns of large scale and systematic commission of international crimes. The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and the case law of the ICTY and the ICTR have, in recent years, played a unique role in the achievement of this goal.application/pdfISBN: 9781847315083https://repository.urosario.edu.co/handle/10336/29945engBloomsbury PublishingThe criminal responsibility of senior political and military leaders as principals to international crimesThe criminal responsibility of senior political and military leaders as principals to international crimes, ISBN: 9781847315083 (2009); 396 pp.https://www.bloomsburyprofessional.com/uk/the-criminal-responsibility-of-senior-political-and-military-leaders-as-principals-to-international-crimes-9781847315083/Restringido (Acceso a grupos específicos)http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_16ecThe criminal responsibility of senior political and military leaders as principals to international crimesinstname:Universidad del Rosarioreponame:Repositorio Institucional EdocURForeword by Judge Sir Adrian FulfordPresiding JudgeTrial Chamber at the International Criminal CourtIntroductionJudge of Pre-Trial Chambers II and IIIInternational Criminal CourtSituations in Uganda and Central African RepublicThe criminal responsibility of senior political and military leaders as principals to international crimesLa responsabilidad penal de los líderes políticos y militares de alto nivel como protagonistas de los crímenes internacionalesbookLibrohttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_2f33Olasolo Alonso, Héctor10336/29945oai:repository.urosario.edu.co:10336/299452020-09-11 16:07:13.356https://repository.urosario.edu.coRepositorio institucional EdocURedocur@urosario.edu.co
