description Liderar y decidir son, sin lugar a duda, roles importantes de los directivos en cualquier tipo de organización; sobre cada una de estas actividades se ha investigado intensamente en la disciplina administrativa y sus ciencias auxiliares; sin embargo, evidencia sobre la investigación conjunta de ellas es sorprendemente escasa, a pesar del impacto potencial sobre el desempeño de las organizaciones que supone la interacción de estas dos principales funciones directivas. La presente investigación tiene como propósito examinar la relación entre liderazgo y los resultados organizacionales de esfuerzo extra, efectividad y satisfacción de los colaboradores e identifcar sí los estilos de toma de decisiones ejercen un rol mediador. Para alcanzar dicho objetivo, se llevó a cabo la presente investigación, realizada con metodología cuantitativa de alcance explicativo con abordaje empírico-analítico en una muestra de 363 participantes procedentes de Colombia, Ecuador y Perú. Los resultados permiten concluir que el modelo Rango Total de Liderazgo cuenta con evidencia satisfactoria sobre su configuración de tres tipos de liderazgo (transformacional, transaccional y no liderazgo), los cuales mostraron relaciones significativas con las variables de resultado esfuerzo extra, efectividad y satisfacción. Asimismo, se identificó la mediación parcial del estilo racional de toma de decisiones en las relaciones entre el liderazgo transformacional y las variables de resultado; también se identificó la mediación total del estilo evitativo de toma de decisiones que vincula en sentido opuesto al no liderazgo con la efectividad. Estos resultados son discutidos y analizados con base en el sustento conceptual y empírico previamente revisado.

La presente investigación tiene como propósito examinar la relación entre liderazgo y los resultados organizacionales de esfuerzo extra, efectividad y satisfacción de los colaboradores e identifcar sí los estilos de toma de decisiones ejercen un rol mediador. Para alcanzar dicho objetivo, se llevó a cabo la presente investigación, realizada con metodología cuantitativa de alcance explicativo con abordaje empírico-analítico en una muestra de 363 participantes procedentes de Colombia, Ecuador y Perú. Los resultados permiten concluir que el modelo Rango Total de Liderazgo cuenta con evidencia satisfactoria sobre su configuración de tres tipos de liderazgo (transformacional, transaccional y no liderazgo), los cuales mostraron relaciones significativas con las variables de resultado esfuerzo extra, efectividad y satisfacción. Asimismo, se identificó la mediación parcial del estilo racional de toma de decisiones en las relaciones entre el liderazgo transformacional y las variables de resultado; también se identificó la mediación total del estilo evitativo de toma de decisiones que vincula en sentido opuesto al no liderazgo con la efectividad.
