Con el propósito de comprender estas complejidades y transformar las relaciones de poder que en ella se desarrollan y reproducen, este artículo analiza los principales aportes teóricos y enfoques metodológicos que los estudios feministas y de género han realizado sobre la ciudad, el espacio urbano y el derecho a la ciudad, los cuales constituyen valiosos aportes para la definición del derecho a la ciudad de las mujeres como derecho colectivo en construcción universal.As cidades modernas têm nascido dos processos de industralização-urbanização, caracterizados por seu caráter violento, traduzido em desigualdades sociais, segregação espacial, luta pela supervivência, autoritarismo dos poderes públicos e o estabelecimento de excludentes ordens de gênero, que têm impedido o gozo diferencial dos direitos. Com o propósito de compreender estas complexidades e transformar as relações de poder que nela se desenvolvem e reproduzem. Este artigo analisa os principais aportes teóricos e enfoques metodológicos que os estudos feministas e de gênero têm realizado sobre a cidade, o espaço urbano e o direito à cidade, os quais constituem valiosos aportes para a definição do direito à cidade das mulheres como direito coletivo em construção universal.The modern citieshave been born of the processes of industrialization, urbanization, which have been characterized by violence, resulting in social inequality, spatial segregation, the struggle for survival, the authoritarianism of the government and the establishment of exclusive orders genre, which has prevented the enjoyment of the rights differential.
