Such control ensures that this becomes a reality because it provides a way by which to overcome administrative inefficiency and avoid departure from the essential aims of public institutions. Environmental commitment is necessary for denationalization of the state; it appears as a subsidiary to the initiative and participation of citizens, which, by shifting functions to the private sphere, is also linked to destatization strategies. In light of these assumptions, and the consideration that decisions should not be taken without the input of communities, this article advocates the inclusion of citizens’ voices in environmental policies and management. These issues are addressed from the perspective of Hans Jonas’ ethic of responsibility, with the aim to develop socially responsible and participatory projects. application/pdfhttps://doi.org/10.2478/mjss-2018-0170ISSN: 2039-9340EISSN: 2039-2117https://repository.urosario.edu.co/handle/10336/26423engRichtmann Publishing155No. 6145Mediterranean Journal of Social SciencesVol. 9Mediterranean Journal of Social Sciences, ISSN: 2039-9340 ; EISSN: 2039-2117, Vol.9, No.6 (November 2018); pp.145-155http://www.richtmann.org/journal/index.php/mjss/article/view/10339/9969Abierto (Texto Completo)http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Mediterranean Journal of Social Sciencesinstname:Universidad del Rosarioreponame:Repositorio Institucional EdocURCitizen involvementDecision-makingDemocracyEnvironmental managementPublic participationParticipation in environmental decision making as an imperative for democracy and environmental justice in ColombiaParticipación en la toma de decisiones ambientales como un imperativo para la democracia y la justicia ambiental en Colombia.articleArtículohttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501Rodríguez, Gloria AmparoVargas-Chaves, IvánORIGINALmjss-2018-0170.pdfapplication/pdf232604https://repository.urosario.edu.co/bitstreams/409afea3-3626-4043-9a8c-2d4d45efaa71/download963f4bc6758a044648e82c5ab6926a13MD51TEXTmjss-2018-0170.pdf.txtmjss-2018-0170.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain51772https://repository.urosario.edu.co/bitstreams/c2eb444b-0b39-4861-929e-dc93592fad51/download9775d95302b71299ceb12db14ce8077bMD52THUMBNAILmjss-2018-0170.pdf.jpgmjss-2018-0170.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg4682https://repository.urosario.edu.co/bitstreams/4b50b17c-aedb-4bb4-8fbf-51b3e475442a/downloadc0f98f51a8eca76cd639f0b9f0c7aa92MD5310336/26423oai:repository.urosario.edu.co:10336/264232022-05-02 07:37:14.645373https://repository.urosario.edu.coRepositorio institucional EdocURedocur@urosario.edu.co
