The greatest contribution of our research consists in the development of an empirical study that is based on the main contributions of the dynamic capabilities promoted by Teece (absorption, adaptation and innovation), and that allowed to determine the degree of influence that managers have to take decisions and undertake sustainable ecotourism actions, both at the SME level and at the cluster level. For this reason, our research provides a better understanding of how dynamic capabilities operate at the individual commercial level, as well as at the cluster level, in the combination of absorption, adaptation and innovation capabilities to foster new sustainability narratives and maintain sustainable ecotourism. Our results also point out the limitations and challenges for the sustainable tourism sector in Colombia. © 2020 by the authors.application/pdfhttps://doi.org/10.3390/su12031004https://repository.urosario.edu.co/handle/10336/23357engMDPI AGNo. 3Sustainability (Switzerland)Vol. 12Sustainability (Switzerland), Vol.12, No.3 (2020)https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85081277226&doi=10.3390%2fsu12031004&partnerID=40&md5=6ac0ee398f3fda30609de3d6faf2b32aAbierto (Texto Completo)http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2instname:Universidad del Rosarioreponame:Repositorio Institucional EdocURAdaptive managementComparative advantageEcotourismInnovationSmall and medium-sized enterpriseSustainabilityColombiaAbsorptionAdaptationClusterCompetitive advantageInnovationNew sustainability narrativesSmall and medium enterprisesValidity of dynamic capabilities in the operation based on new sustainability narratives on nature tourism SMEs and clustersarticleArtículohttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501Rodríguez A.J.G.Barón N.J.Martínez J.M.G.ORIGINALsustainability-12-01004-v2.pdfapplication/pdf1997873https://repository.urosario.edu.co/bitstreams/91e2726d-0988-4905-ac11-d8db6a495760/download4abf5ef6defe6de9cff2fefd7caad8ecMD51TEXTsustainability-12-01004-v2.pdf.txtsustainability-12-01004-v2.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain70229https://repository.urosario.edu.co/bitstreams/5be37731-1a75-45af-9734-853f64a73ecc/download78f3515e3aaf8c98bd107a1def4306b2MD52THUMBNAILsustainability-12-01004-v2.pdf.jpgsustainability-12-01004-v2.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg4873https://repository.urosario.edu.co/bitstreams/f41ce782-e0fe-4b45-80a3-43b4931fa08f/download72f8e8cc2112ecde0305c2e61dd38ae0MD5310336/23357oai:repository.urosario.edu.co:10336/233572022-05-02 07:37:14.522984https://repository.urosario.edu.coRepositorio institucional EdocURedocur@urosario.edu.co
