No reviews or case reports involving the use of a healthy tracheal bridge to achieve reconstruction after extensive tracheal resection (greater than 7 cm) are described. We present a clinical case of a patient with double tracheal stenosis secondary to prolonged intubation and tracheostomy for which a healthy, well-vascularized tracheal bridge was used to achieve a tracheal reconstruction without tension. The key point in performing this type of reconstruction is allowing a tension-free cervical and thoracic anastomosis. © 2020 The Society of Thoracic Surgeonsapplication/pdfhttps://doi.org/10.1016/j.athoracsur.2019.08.03434975https://repository.urosario.edu.co/handle/10336/22478engElsevier USAe197 No. 3e195Annals of Thoracic SurgeryVol. 109Annals of Thoracic Surgery, ISSN:34975, Vol.109, No.3 (2020); pp. e195-e197https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85079549358&doi=10.1016%2fj.athoracsur.2019.08.034&partnerID=40&md5=2a47f01d463265222c8e55ff29e90f0dAbierto (Texto Completo)http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2instname:Universidad del Rosarioreponame:Repositorio Institucional EdocURAdultAnastomosisArticleBronchoscopyCase reportClinical articleComputer assisted tomographyEndotracheal intubationHumanIntensive care unitMalePriority journalSternotomySurgical approachThree-dimensional imagingTrachea reconstructionTrachea resectionTrachea stenosisUpper respiratory tractTracheal Bridge for Reconstruction of the Upper Airway in Double Tracheal StenosisarticleArtículohttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501García-Herreros L.G.Granada J.Díaz A.Santivañez J.J.10336/22478oai:repository.urosario.edu.co:10336/224782022-05-02 07:37:20.484246https://repository.urosario.edu.coRepositorio institucional EdocURedocur@urosario.edu.co |
