description Introducción: La rehabilitación y reincorporación laboral en personas que sufren enfermedades mentales es una temática fundamental para mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas afectadas, quienes enfrentan barreras significativas para encontrar o mantener un empleo, motivo por el cual se hace necesario examinar las estrategias e intervenciones utilizadas en dichos procesos. Objetivo: Analizar la evidencia científica existente para identificar las prácticas y estrategias de rehabilitación y reincorporación laboral en trabajadores con patologías mentales. Metodología: Se llevó a cabo una búsqueda pormenorizada de literatura en bases de datos científicas como BMC, LANCET, PUBMED, SPRINGER, PSICODOC, SCIELO, enfocados en artículos en español e inglés, en un periodo de diez años. Las variables en esta revisión incluyeron características sociodemográficas, presencia de enfermedades mentales, intervenciones utilizadas para la rehabilitación y reincorporación laboral, efectividad de estas intervenciones, los obstáculos y facilitadores para la rehabilitación y reincorporación laboral. Resultados: Se destacan factores sociodemográficos y clínicos como la vulnerabilidad de las mujeres y la prevalencia de trastornos depresivos y de ansiedad. Los hallazgos enfatizan la importancia de estrategias de apoyo social, adaptaciones en el lugar de trabajo y programas de psicoeducación. Se identifican enfoques efectivos como el empleo con apoyo y las intervenciones centradas en las necesidades individuales, aunque existen diferencias en la aplicación de estas estrategias. Conclusiones: Tener un enfoque personalizado y colaborativo entre salud, empleo y políticas públicas es clave para una rehabilitación y reincorporación laboral exitosa. Se deben integrar estrategias inclusivas y reducir el estigma para mejorar el bienestar de los trabajadores y la productividad de las organizaciones.

Objective: To analyze the existing scientific evidence to identify the practices and strategies for rehabilitation and reincorporation into the labor market of workers with mental pathologies. Methodology: A detailed literature search was carried out in scientific databases such as BMC, LANCET, PUBMED, SPRINGER, PSICODOC, SCIELO, focusing on articles in Spanish and English, over a period of ten years. The variables in this review included sociodemographic characteristics, presence of mental illness, interventions used for rehabilitation and return to work, effectiveness of these interventions, obstacles and facilitators for rehabilitation and return to work. Results: Sociodemographic and clinical factors such as women's vulnerability and the prevalence of depressive and anxiety disorders are highlighted. Findings emphasize the importance of social support strategies, workplace accommodations, and psychoeducation programs. Effective approaches such as supported employment and interventions focused on individual needs are identified, although there are differences in the implementation of these strategies. Conclusions: Having a personalized and collaborative approach between health, employment and public policy is key to successful rehabilitation and reemployment.
