Model-driven design of cloud applications with quality-of-service guarantees: the modaclouds approach, MICAS Tutorial

The competition between cloud providers has led to an impressive set of cloud solutions offered to consumers. The ability to properly design and deploy multi-cloud applications (i.e., Applications deployed on multiple clouds) allows exploiting the peculiarities of each cloud solution and hence optim...

The ability to properly design and deploy multi-cloud applications (i.e., Applications deployed on multiple clouds) allows exploiting the peculiarities of each cloud solution and hence optimizing the performance and cost of the applications. However, this is hindered by the large heterogeneity of the existing cloud offerings. In this work, we present the model-driven methodology and tools developed within the MODA Clouds European project to support the design of multi-cloud applications. In particular, the proposed framework promotes a model driven approach to help reducing vendor "lock-in", support multi-cloud deployments, and provide solutions for estimating and optimizing the performance of multi-cloud applications at design-time.application/pdfhttps://doi.org/10.1109/SYNASC.2014.8ISBN: 978-1-4799-8447-3EISBN: 978-1-4799-8448-0https://repository.urosario.edu.co/handle/10336/28650engIEEE1032014 16th International Symposium on Symbolic and Numeric Algorithms for Scientific Computing16th International Symposium on Symbolic and Numeric Algorithms for Scientific Computing, ISBN: 978-1-4799-8447-3;EISBN: 978-1-4799-8448-0 (2014); pp.3-10https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/7034658Restringido (Acceso a grupos específicos)http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_16ec2014 16th International Symposium on Symbolic and Numeric Algorithms for Scientific Computinginstname:Universidad del Rosarioreponame:Repositorio Institucional EdocURQuality of serviceUnified modeling languageComputational modelingServersTime factorsSoftwareComputer architectureModel-driven design of cloud applications with quality-of-service guarantees: the modaclouds approach, MICAS TutorialDiseño basado en modelos de aplicaciones en la nube con garantías de calidad de servicio: el enfoque modaclouds, MICAS TutorialbookPartParte de librohttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_3248Almeida da Silva, Marcos AurélioArdagna, DaniloFerry, NicolasPérez, Juan F.10336/28650oai:repository.urosario.edu.co:10336/286502021-09-23 12:42:48.375https://repository.urosario.edu.coRepositorio institucional EdocURedocur@urosario.edu.co
