Los resultados de este análisis revelaron una alta homología con proteínas de choque ténnico previamente descritas en banco de datos (Blast database), Sin embargo, esta secuencia preliminar también reveló que la proteína no se encontraba completamente pura. Se emplearon entonces otras técnicas de purificación como columnas de inmunoafinidad y electroforesis bidimensional tratando de obtener material de más pureza y en cantidad adecuada para realizar, nuevamente, los análisis de secuencia Nterminal. Obtener la proteína en forma completamente pura ha resultado dificil, a pesar de la variedad de técnicas empleadas; sin embargo, el nuevo material ha sido enviado pat'a secuencia N'tenninal. Estos resultados se discuten ampliamente en el reporte anexo de pasantía realizada en los laboratorios de Londres.
