The first chapter indicates the degree of violence against women that has been lived in recent years in the city of Monteria, official data on complaints filed by women are presented and an analysis is made of the protection measures imposed by the State in these cases. The second chapter analyzes how justice undervalues sexual violence against women and points it out as a normal act of courtship between men and women. The third chapter exposes the influence that drug trafficking has had on the normalization of violence against women and its reification, based on the history of the cartels that have influenced the city of Cartago.En este libro se parte del concepto que tiene la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) sobre la violencia contra la mujer, en el cual se reconoce que puede existir violación en el matrimonio, en citas amorosas, o practicada por un desconocido, así mismo, las insinuaciones sexuales no deseadas, el acoso sexual, la esclavitud sexual, fecundación forzada, y el matrimonio forzado, entre otros, son manifestaciones que se incluyen en el marco de la violencia sexual contra las mujeres (OMS, 2013). El primer capítulo señala el grado de violencia contra la mujer que se ha vivido en los últimos años en la ciudad de Montería, se presentan datos oficiales sobre las denuncias presentadas por las mujeres y se hace un análisis de las medidas de protección que impone el Estado en estos casos. El segundo capítulo analiza cómo la justicia subvalora la violencia sexual contra la mujer y la señala como un acto normal de cortejo entre hombres y mujeres.
