description Introduction: This article shows how responsibility, solidarity and emotional control are an alternative for the improvement of coexistence among students of the 5 th grade in the “Institución Educativa Distrital Manuel del Socorro Rodríguez”, afternoon classes. It demonstrates the transcendence of the values of responsibility, solidarity and control of emotions for the improvement of coexistence among students. Methodology: Corresponds to a qualitative, descriptive-proactive field research involving a population of 120 students between 9 and 11 years of age, from which a random sample of 53 students was taken. Results: It is noted that the values treated, and the management of emotions, mediated by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), help improve the school climate of students, strengthening harmonious interpersonal relationships between them. Conclusions: the understanding and management of one’s own emotions and those of other students and teachers (especially those related to hate, fear and anger) are important in the management and solution of conflicts generated within the school environment. Equally, the students seem to understand the two values; however, there is a contradiction with the results of the evaluation of coexistence, which gives rise to the need for appropriation, in daily life, in order to generate a healthy coexistence.

Aquí se constata la trascendencia que tienen los valores de la responsabilidad, la solidaridad y el control de las emociones para el mejoramiento de la convivencia entre los estudiantes. Metodología: corresponde a una investigación de campo con carácter cualitativo, descriptivo-propositivo que involucra una población de 120 estudiantes entre 9 y 11 años de edad, de la cual se tomó una muestra aleatoria de 53 educandos. Resultados: se constata que los valores tratados, y el manejo de las emociones, con mediación de las Tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (tic), coadyuvan el mejoramiento del clima escolar de los estudiantes, fortaleciendo relaciones interpersonales armoniosas entre ellos. Conclusiones: el conocimiento, manejo y gestión de las emociones propias y ajenas en los estudiantes y docentes, sobre todo las relacionadas con la ira, el temor y el enojo, son importantes en el manejo y la solución de los conflictos generados en la convivencia escolar. De igual manera, los estudiantes parecen comprender los dos valores; sin embargo, se presenta una contradicción con los resultados de la evaluación de la convivencia, lo que da lugar a la necesidad de la apropiación, por su parte, en la vida diaria, con el fin de generar una sana convivencia.Introdução: o artigo apresenta a responsabilidade, a solidariedade e o controle dasemoçõehs como alternativa para melhorar a convivência entre os alunos do quinto ano da Instituição Educativa Distrital Manuel del Socorro Rodríguez, horário de tarde. Constata-se a transcendência que têm os valores da responsabilidade, a solidariedade e o controle das emoções para o acrescimento da convivência entre os alunos. Metodologia: trata-se de uma pesquisa de campo de abordagem qualitativa, descritivo-propositiva, que envolve uma população de 120 alunos nas idades entre 9 e 11 anos, da qual se tirou uma mostra aleatória de 53 discentes. Resultados: constatou-se que os valores tratados e o controle das emoções, com mediação das tecnologias da informação e da comunicação (tic), contribuem a melhorar o ambiente escolar dos alunos, fortalecendo relações interpessoais harmoniosas. Conclusões: o conhecimento, controle e gestão das emoções próprias e dos outros nos alunos e professores, principalmente as relacionadas com a ira, o medo e a raiva são importantes no controle e a solução de conflitos gerados na convivência escolar. Igualmente, os alunos parecem compreender os dois valores.
