It is carried out taking into account that the deficit is a global phenomenon that shows us approximately a percentage of live births in 2010 that were premature before 37 weeks. of gestation because of this premature birth rates increase in most countries with reliable trend data. The methodology implemented is a systematic analysis, according to the established categories, an exhaustive search was carried out in the different national and international databases, including Scopus, Pubmed, UCC Sprinter Library. An initial search of 109 articles is carried out and finally the analysis is recorded with 30 articles. The results found emphasize that in infant development, preterm birth is a risk factor in more than 50% of all neonatal deaths, because preterm birth can lead to a variety of long-term complications in survivors.
