Description
Summary:The changes that COVID-19 will bring in the post-pandemic are very varied. It will be a tough road to recovery from the deep ravages left by the coronavirus and will depend on the decisions made by humanity; whether they will be mostly favorable with the construction of a more cooperative and caring environment or if the differences between developed and developing countries and between social strata will widen even more. A long-awaited adjustment is in the economic model of economic openness, where a post-Keynesian approach to the Welfare State is once again important to address fundamental public policies such as health, even in developed nations such as North America, accompanied by successful multilevel governance practices in Latin America, such as that achieved in Uruguay with effective regional public health measures that cover the scope of the institutional framework. On the other hand, the situation is complex today in countries like Brazil, due to the ignorance of the severity of the pandemic. Technologically advanced nations will perceive accelerated growth, where developments in Artificial Intelligence, supported by robotics, big data, and the Internet of things, will benefit from the disputed leadership between the us and China; and from the development of the same, Latin America will acquire tools to better control the coronavirus. Digitization will impact key industrial sectors, such as the automotive industry, in integration processes such as Mercosur or financial technology (Fintech) will stimulate the development of entrepreneurship and greater financial inclusion in Latin America. Finally, adjustments in the international system affect areas of the planet as diverse and distant as the Middle East.
