description El consumo de carne de perro y gato es un tabú y una necesidad. En esta revisión de literatura se abordaron ambos aspectos y se concluyó en relación con el consumo de carne y su riesgo de sanidad para humanos. Se observó que del total amplificado de personas entrevistadas o de las que se tuvo información sobre si consumía carne o no (1874 personas), se obtuvo un número de personas que si consumían de 693 (36,98%), y el porcentaje de personas que no consumían fue de 63,02% (1181 personas). Ya para el consumo de carne de gato, en el estudio seleccionado, el 0% de las 130 personas entrevistadas manifestó consumir carne de gato.

Se observó que del total amplificado de personas entrevistadas o de las que se tuvo información sobre si consumía carne o no (1874 personas), se obtuvo un número de personas que si consumían de 693 (36,98%), y el porcentaje de personas que no consumían fue de 63,02% (1181 personas). Ya para el consumo de carne de gato, en el estudio seleccionado, el 0% de las 130 personas entrevistadas manifestó consumir carne de gato.The consumption of dog and cat meat is taboo and a necessity. In this literature review, both aspects were addressed and it was concluded in relation to meat consumption and its health risk for humans. It was observed that from the amplified total of people interviewed or from whom information was obtained on whether or not they ate meat (1874 people), a number of people who did consume 693 (36.98%) was obtained, and the percentage of people who did not consume it was 63.02% (1181 people).
