El presente estudio tiene por objetivo analizar la relación entre el uso de redes sociales, la dependencia emocional y la celotipia en jóvenes entre los 18 y 30 años, mediante un diseño de tipo cuantitativo de alcance correlacional entre las variables. La muestra estuvo constituida por 98 participantes que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión, los cuales fueron evaluados a través de la Escala de Adicción a las Redes (ARS) para medir el uso de redes sociales, la Escala de Celos en las Relaciones Románticas para evaluar la celotipia, y la Escala de Dependencia Emocional de la Pareja para medir la dependencia emocional, los cuales demostraron fiabilidad y validez en investigaciones anteriores. Los resultados mostraron una relación significativa y positiva entre las variables dependencia emocional, celos en las relaciones de pareja y uso excesivo de redes sociales, contribuyendo a la evidencia encontrada por otras investigaciones sobre los múltiples impactos negativos del uso problemático de redes sociales. Los datos resaltan la importancia de la promoción de patrones de uso de redes sociales y patrones vinculares sanos para el mantenimiento de la salud mental. |

Los datos resaltan la importancia de la promoción de patrones de uso de redes sociales y patrones vinculares sanos para el mantenimiento de la salud mental.The present study aims to analyze the relationship between the use of social networks, emotional dependency, and jealousy in young adults aged 18 to 30, using a quantitative design with correlational scope among the variables. The sample consisted of 98 participants who met the inclusion criteria, and they were assessed using the Social Media Addiction Scale (SMAS) to measure the use of social networks, the Romantic Relationship Jealousy Scale to evaluate jealousy, and the Emotional Dependency Scale in Couple Relationships to measure emotional dependency. These scales have demonstrated reliability and validity in previous research. The results showed a significant and positive relationship between emotional dependency, jealousy in romantic relationships, and excessive use of social networks, contributing to the evidence found by other studies on the multiple negative impacts of problematic social media use.
