description	RESUMEN Este reporte de caso describe el tratamiento de un paciente de 31 años con patrón esquelético clase III, patrón de crecimiento horizontal, mordida cruzada anterior y empuje lingual además de sonrisa baja no consonante. Se utilizaron minitornillos y elásticos intermaxilares para descruzar la mordida y mejorar la proyección labial y el perfil facial y alturas diferenciales para lograr mejorar la expresión y consonancia de la sonrisa, se realizó interconsulta con fonoaudiología además del uso de spurs para interceptar el hábito de empuje lingual. Al final del tratamiento, se dio una rotación mandibular en sentido horario y distalización de la mandíbula, lo que permitió descruzar la mordida, los incisivos superiores se retroinclinaron y se extruyeron mejorando la estética dental y facial, se logró eliminar el hábito de empuje lingual.

Al final del tratamiento, se dio una rotación mandibular en sentido horario y distalización de la mandíbula, lo que permitió descruzar la mordida, los incisivos superiores se retroinclinaron y se extruyeron mejorando la estética dental y facial, se logró eliminar el hábito de empuje lingual.ABSTRACT This case report describes the treatment of a 31-year-old patient with a Class III skeletal pattern, horizontal growth pattern, anterior crossbite and tongue thrust and a low, non-consonant smile. Mini-screws and intermaxillary elastics were used to uncross the bite and improve the lip projection and facial profile and differential heights to improve the expression and consonance of the smile, interconsultation with phonoaudiology was performed in addition to the use of spurs to intercept the tongue thrust habit.
