For this, subjects are expounded based on the circuit theory, by which expressions or basic equations are worked out to analyze the operation of various circuits and to solve application problems. Also, regarding circuit design with transistors, elementary and logical criteria are considered, which effectively help to build circuits invented by the reader. This book facilitates the intro-duction to the basic concepts of electronics to be creatively ap-plied in practice.El propósito de esta obra es dar a comprender los conceptos fundamentales sobre el funciona-miento y operación de diodos y transistores, sus características principales, aplicaciones, estudio de los circuitos electrónicos que incluyen estos dispositivos, y el diseño de circuitos con diodos y transistores. Para ello, los temas se han desarrollado teniendo en cuenta la teoría de circuitos, por medio de la cual se hallan las expresiones o ecuaciones básicas que permiten analizar el funcionamiento de los diferentes circuitos y resolver problemas de aplicación. Asimismo, en lo referente al diseño de circuitos con transistores se tienen en cuenta criterios elementales y lógicos, que ayudan de manera efectiva a construir circuitos inventados por el propio lector.
