El TVT, es una de las neoplasias más comunes en caninos, la cual se puede presentar tanto genital como extragenital en lugares como fosa nasal, mucosa ocular, mucosa oral, entre otras. Según varios estudios, hay países endémicos, y se relaciona con la cantidad de perros callejeros, ya que estos actúan como reservorio. Este tumor crea inmunosupresión en el paciente, y pasa por diversas fases de desarrollo, para lo cual, el mejor tratamiento hasta el momento es el sulfato de vincristina, y la doxorrubicina, sin embargo, se estudian muchas alternativas como el uso de virus oncolíticos, metabolitos secundarios de frutas como la guanábana, y demás. El objetivo de esta revisión de literatura, es recoger información actual del TVT y su tratamiento actual y a futuro. |
