description (1) Antecedentes: La Escala de Experiencias Positivas y Negativas de Diener (SPANE) evalúa la presencia e intensidad de los afectos positivos y negativos, ya que estos se consideran aspectos básicos en el estudio del bienestar. Este artículo estudia sus propiedades psicométricas en la población general colombiana. (2) Realizamos un estudio transversal de una muestra de 1255 colombianos y utilizamos modelos de ecuaciones estructurales para confirmar la estructura bifactorial. Además, estudiamos la invariancia por género y la validez convergente y concurrente. (3) Encontramos indicadores de ajuste aceptables para el modelo bifactorial (CFI = 0.889, RMSEA = 0.046, SRMR = 0.059) así como para el convergente (CFI = 0.909, RMSEA = 0.050, SRMR = 0.063) y concurrente (CFI = 0.966 , RMSEA = 0,036, SRMR = 0,041) modelos de validez. No confirmamos la invariancia total entre géneros, aunque encontramos invariancia configuracional y métrica, por lo que se proporcionaron percentiles por sexo. (4) Conclusiones: El SPANE es una medida válida y confiable para evaluar el bienestar de la población colombiana, aunque alertamos a los investigadores sobre el riesgo de comparar puntajes promedio de afectividad entre sexos.

This article studies its psychometric properties in the general Colombian population. (2) We conducted a cross-sectional study of a sample of 1255 Colombians and we used structural equation modeling to confirm the bifactor structure. Additionally, we studied invariance by gender, and convergent and concurrent validity. (3) We found acceptable fit indicators for the bifactor model (CFI = 0.889, RMSEA = 0.046, SRMR = 0.059) as well as for the convergent (CFI = 0.909, RMSEA = 0.050, SRMR = 0.063) and concurrent (CFI = 0.966, RMSEA = 0.036, SRMR = 0.041) validity models. We did not confirm total invariance across gender, although we found configural and metric invariance, so percentiles by sex were provided.
